Personal Training

Have you wondered about your fitness endurance? With a NASM Fitness Assessment you will know where you are on your fitness journey and how much strength you need to continue. A National Association of Sports Medicine (NASM) Fitness Assessment establishes your baseline, watches your progress and keeps you motivated. A WFS Personal Trainer/Fitness Instructor conducts the hour-long session.


· PT/FI requires a current, in good standing membership
· Sessions must be completed in six months
· Unused sessions do not rollover, re-used or transferred.
· Use the WellnessLiving Achieve app to book, check-in or cancel a session.

Types of Fitness Classes

At WFS, we offer cardio, strength and yoga classes that you can take in-person, livestream or on-line. Membership includes all classes in-person and online.

If you opt to take the livestreamed, or 2GO, classes you will receive two emails: to confirm your reservation and 2-hour notice. Both emails will contain a link to open your 2GO class. Check your “junk” drawer and make sure you add the email to your “safe sender” list.

WFS Policies


Summarized below are key policies, rules, and expectations of the staff, members and guests of WFS. Please read them carefully. Under your Membership Agreement, you are responsible for complying with all WFS policies, including without limitation those outlined in this document. WFS reserves the right to update policies at any time and may cancel, revoke, or suspend membership for violation of the WFS Policies.

About Memberships



Membership Duration: Membership duration cannot be divided or split.

Administrative Fee: There is a one-time Administrative Fee applied at the time of enrollment. If the membership has not been active for more than two years, the Administrative Fee will be re-applied.

Auto-Renew: After the initial 12-months, your membership auto-renews. If you would like to end auto-renew, please contact WFS a month in advance.

Dues: Due on the 15th of each month. Annual is due a day before your yearly membership ends.

Initial Commitment: The initial commitment is 12-months

Senior Rate: Must be at least 65 years old

Student Memberships: Under 18 requires parent/guardian to sign release form. Requires a valid .edu email address. Valid for students ages 14 to 22


WFS WELLNESS TREATMENT 


Birthday: Two weeks before/after your birthday, members receive a 20 percent discount for a wellness service; discount cannot be combined with other discounts.

Booking and Payment: Use the WellnessLiving Achieve app to book. You must check in at the Member Desk. Payment is due following service at front desk.

Cancellation Policy: You may cancel or reschedule your Treatment up to 24-hours before the Treatment is due to start. You will be charged for the full cost of the Treatment if you cancel with less than 24-hours' prior notice or if you fail to show up to your Treatment. You are not entitled to any refund for late-cancelled or missed Treatment.

Co-Ed Services: All wellness treatments are co-ed. Classes and equipment are not

Discounts: WFS members and spouse receive a 10 percent discount on wellness services. Discounts cannot be used with other discounts

Expiration of Appointments: All treatment appointments expire three months after the date of purchase.

Refunds: All sales are final and non-refundable. Treatments have no cash value and are non-transferable and non-descendible.

In Good Health: You should consult your physician before starting any fitness program. This is particularly true if you (or your family) have a history of high blood pressure or heart disease, or if you have ever experienced chest pain when exercising or have experienced chest pain in the past month when not engaged in physical activity, smoke, have high cholesterol, are obese, or have a bone or joint problem that could be made worse by a change in physical activity. Do not start any fitness program if your physician advises against it. If you experience faintness, dizziness, pain or shortness of breath at any time while exercising you should stop immediately.

Cell Phone and Camera Use: Members using cell phones or a recording device in WFS locker rooms and other private spaces is prohibited. If you post photos or video on social media that captures another member who does not want to be in it, you may be asked to remove or edit it.

Children: Those under fourteen (14) years must always be accompanied by the child’s parent or legal guardian unless with signed permission.

Conduct: Everyone should act in a respectful manner while at the Club. Please be mindful and considerate of others. Don’t engage in behavior or conduct that your Momma and WFS, in its discretion, consider unruly, gossipy or inappropriate. Don’t bring drama to the Club. WFS reserves the right to remove you from the Club and/or revoke, cancel, or suspend your membership.

Guests: Guests must register at the Member Desk, present photo ID, sign a Guest Waiver, pay the Day Pass rate and comply with WFS Policies. The member must accompany her guest. WFS may limit the number of times a guest may access the Club and prevent anyone from accessing WFS as a guest.

Photography/Video: WFS often undertakes initiatives to promote the Club, its services, and its programs, and on occasion will take photos or videos of the Club and those in the Club. WFS and its authorized agents may use, reuse, publish, and/or republish in whole or in part, in any medium (including the WFS website, social media, and advertising) the photographs or video (individually or in a group in which you are included) that are taken at WFS, without restrictions as to changes or alteration, as they are used in conjunction with the representation and promotion of WFS. Recordings, in whatever medium, shall remain solely the property of Women’s Fitness Studio and Spa, and members do not have the right or interest to edit or approve them. As a member, you permit WFS and its authorized agents to use your image, name, as they are used in conjunction with the representation and promotion of WFS. WFS will not compensate for the use of your name or image, as it is used in conjunction with the representation and promotion of the WFS. If you do not wish to be in the photo or video, please inform the Member Manager before photo/video is taken.

Personal Property: Avoid bringing valuables onto Club premises. To the maximum extent permitted WFS will not be liable for the loss or theft of, or damage to, any personal property of you, your guests, including without limitation to any items left in lockers, lost in found, treatment rooms, workout space, parking lot, bathrooms or elsewhere in the Club.

Weapons: Firearms and other weapons are strictly prohibited from being brought into the Club, parking lot or elsewhere at the Club, even with a permit to carry a concealed weapon.

Accessing Club: WFS reserves the right to prohibit accessing and entering the Club if there are any outstanding past due/overdue amounts payable to WFS or your membership is otherwise not in good standing. WFS also may include any outstanding balance on your account during the next membership due or earlier if you have a Katahdin membership.


PERSONAL TRAINING/FITNESS INSTRUCTION


Training Session Payment: Full payment for training is due before the date of the first session. Personal Training/Fitness Instruction is non-refundable.

Session Cancellation: You may cancel or reschedule your session up 24-hours before the Session is due to start. You will be charged for the full cost of the Session if you cancel or reschedule with less than 24-hours' prior notice or if you fail to show up to your Session. You are not entitled to any refund for or reinstatement of any late-cancelled or missed Session. To cancel/re-schedule, please text the Club at 207-500-5200.

Expiration of Sessions: All Personal Training Sessions expire six (6) months after the date of purchase.

Trainer: WFS reserves the right to change or substitute the trainer.

Non-Refundable: All sales are final and non-refundable. Sessions have no cash value and are non-transferable or non-descendible. Sessions may be used only during the term of your membership. If you have any unused Sessions at the time your membership is cancelled, you will not be entitled to a refund.


REGISTERING/CHECKING IN FOR CLASSES OR A WORKOUT 


Reservations: You must make a reservation to take fitness classes or workout via the WellnessLiving (WL) ACHIEVE app on your smartphone. If you must cancel, do so immediately since the class or the workout time may have a Wait List. Below are directions to book and cancel a class or workout.

Check In: You are required to check in on the WellnessLiving ACHIEVE app before class or your workout begins.

On Hold MEDICAL: continued
· For Kathadin membership, we will extend the membership for the hold time
· For the period your membership is on hold, your account is frozen and not permitted to book a class or workout session

On Hold PERSONAL:
· Can be on hold for up to two consecutive months
· May be requested after the first 12-months ends
· $10 for each On Hold month. Fees are non-refundable, not retroactive, non-cancellable, and due at the time of request
· For the period your membership is on hold, your account is frozen and not permitted to book a class or workout session

Exclusions: You are not eligible for any On Hold if you have a balance; if you joined as part of a payroll deducted or subsidized corporate membership program, or if you have a short-term membership.
How to Request an On Hold: Requests for all Holds must be made advance at least 30 days before the intended start date. For example, if you wish to place your account on hold starting on September 28, you should make your request by August 28. Retroactive On Holds are not permitted. WFS SMARTPHONE APP


WFS uses WellnessLiving ACHIEVE as its app. Download it on your smartphone or smartdevice to book a class, workout or wellness appointment. Your email is your username and your temporary password is given during registration

The WL ACHIEVE app is super helpful. You can also see your billing information (tap your photo) and see your history of classes and rewards. To reserve a spot in the app:
1 Click the app; enter your username (your email) and password
1 Tap FITNESS CLASS; choose the class , tap BOOK (to the right).
1 If BOOK is greyed out, the class is full.
1 If there is a JOIN WAIT LIST option, tap it; you will be notified via email/text if a spot has opened.

If you must cancel, please do so immediately. Here’s how:
1 Click the app and at the bottom of the screen, tap MY SCHEDULE
1 Tap the three dots to the right of what you want to cancel
1 Confirm cancelation



PLACING YOUR MEMBERSHIP ON HOLD AND CANCELLATION

Being fit is a lifetime commitment. There might be a time though you fall off track. That’s normal. They key is don’t quit!

If you feel that you must cancel a membership before the first 12 months ends, there is a cancellation fee of $100.

If you are past your initial 12-months, you can place your membership ON HOLD. On Holds are for consecutive calendar months for up to two months. On Holds are in monthly increments. Requests for partial months are not permitted.

WFS requires a 30-day notice before the request is granted. For example, if you want the hold to begin on October 28, your request should be made by September 28.

Hold requests are permitted for members whose account is in good standing and after the initial 12-months has passed. Bradbury (1 Month), Androscoggin (3 Months) Class Pass, Day Pass, Trial Memberships or Guest Pass cannot be placed on hold.

WFS has two On Holds: Personal and Medical.

On Hold MEDICAL:
· You are medically unable to use WFS facilities or classes
· Can be on hold up to six consecutive months (if you need more, just talk to a Member Manager)
· No fee with a signed letter from your doctor stating the medical reason and the duration of the hold emailed to WFS at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..



Food Service

How lucky are we to have Stephanie D prepare wonderful foods for us? Stephanie has been a chef in the Mid Coast and northern New England for years. Scrumptious salads, Overnight Oats, Perfectly Roasted Chicken are just a few of the freshly made items at the ready.

We also have an array of Sparkling Water, Fruit, Granola and Protein Drinks to fuel your post-fitness workout.

How do you make an order? Simply, open the 2GO fridge, grab what you want, and write the items down on the Café Purchase Order on the table in front of the fridge.
Typically, members add funds into their account. We do require a $10 minimum credit card purchase.
