I've been teaching group fitness for over 20 years. Before that, I had memberships at a few different facilities, but I found that WFS was the best fit for me. I'm probably more passionate about fitness now than when I started teaching because I've seen the positive influence fitness makes in people's lives. Exercise can help you burn calories, lose weight, shape and tone, but it can also instill self-confidence and reduce stress. Outside of my fitness classes, I like to run, hike, bike and kayak. I have a full time job outside of WFS and a family, but exercise is a very important part of my life.

I have been involved with some sort of fitness, sports and nutrition almost my entire life. I have been a spin instructor for 15 yrs and an RPM instructor for 2! I thrive on pushing my members of RPM to their personal best! I also love a good challenge on the weight floor, a ski mountain, a mountain bike trail, or a walking trail with my 2.5 yr old, Anson.

I have been involved in a variety of fitness activities for much of my life -- softball, basketball, and cheering when I was in school; running, hiking, and biking as I have gotten older. In recent years (as my age has caught up with my knees) I began participating in group fitness classes at WFS & Spa. I consistently take Step, BodyPump, BodyCombat, and RPM. All of these classes have improved my muscle strength and cardiovascular fitness. In 2012 I was inspired to train as a BodyFlow instructor to balance my fitness routine and full-time job as a Psychology Professor at Bowdoin College. I have found the combination of Yoga, Tai-Chi, and Pilates to be the perfect complement to other aspects of my fitness and professional life. BodyFlow has resulted in increased flexibility, improved balance, and long, lean muscles. I love the combination of a challenging workout with the calm and centered atmosphere found in BodyFlow classes.
